I'm a Mathematics and Philosophy undergraduate studying at King's College London. It's a joint-honours course, and I'm in my third year now.
Philosophy has been a recurring interest for me for quite some time, and hence I decided to study it at Univeristy. My main interests include Metaphysics and Epistemology, Logic (particularly Modal Logic, done properly), Philosophy of Religion, and what Owen Barfield calls Anthroposophy (Philosophical Anthropology, if you like).
There are many Philosophers who have influenced me greatly, but Blaise Pascal, Owen Barfield, and St. Augustine of Hippo all struck big notes in my life. I have equally been influenced by many discussions on PhilosophyForums.com, to which I owe a great deal, and it's a place where I now administrate.
University life hasn't left me with any reasonable time to read, but I am a voracious reader, and like many varying types of literature. My favourite writers perhaps include Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoevsky, J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. My taste generally tends towards pre 20th century literature.
I'm very interested and passionate about Free (as in Liberty) and Open Source Software. My favourite GNU/Linux distribution is openSUSE, though I used to also contribute to Kubuntu, which I used for some time. I'm an ardent KDE user.
At the moment I contribute a lot to openSUSE. I'm an editor over at news.openSUSE.org, launched and maintain openSUSE-Community.org, and I'm a member of the openSUSE Board.
